Detection of trout from salmon by PCR test

One of the main concerns that arose in the last few years due to the market-friendly consumption of salmon and the higher price of this fish, that profiteers use other fish or trout fillets instead of salmon. Also, they use permitted or non-permitted food colors to create a pink color in it and it was sold at a high price instead of salmon. So, the knowledge-based company Dana Gen Pajouh, for the first time in the country, was able to find a solution to identify salmon meat using designing specific primers and PCR test. The interesting point was that with this method it is possible to identify salmon-trout, which is a hybrid between salmon and trout.
