Identifying the origin of raw and processed meats, dairy products, milk powder

Checking for fraud and authenticity

Food authenticity is a global issue, and today awareness and concern about food fraud and authenticity is increasing. Identification of animal species for authentication of food has been considered for more than a decade in the world. Fraud in raw and processed meats, dairy products and all kinds of food is intentional in most cases, which destroys the trust of consumers. At the same time, economic and health aspects have caused concern for religious groups (the issue of halal meat).

PCR test to detect animal origin

Dana Gene Pajouh Knowledge Company can determine the origin of cows, sheep, camels, buffaloes, goats, donkeys, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, ostriches, ducks, and turkeys in a wide range of foods, including all types of raw meat, minced meat, sausages, nuggets, hamburgers, foods containing meat, animal oils, dairy products such as yogurt, cream, milk, buttermilk, cheese, and milk powder which is licensed by the FDA and ISIRI.

Identification of hunted meat (Kal or mountain goat, wild sheep and deer)

For the first time in Iran, the Dana Gene Pajouh Company was able to design primers based on the comparison of the genome of wild goat and sheep with domestic sheep and goat, which have more than 99% genome similarity, so we can detect them by PCR test on the hunted meat. Also, in the next step, we were able to determine the gender of the hunted meat. On the other hand, we have already launched the identification of deer meat and wild pig by PCR method.
